The Traffic Safety Research Institute (TSRI) is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization funded by global road safety material and equipment manufacturers. Our mission is to support traffic safety research, education, and workforce efforts to maximize our ability to create a safer, equitable, and sustainable road environment for all road users. Working with industry partners, TSRI is focused on supporting advanced driver assistance and automated safety technologies to reduce crashes. TSRI supports research and development of the latest in Artificial Intelligence analytics to identify locations where road safety improvements reduce exposure and crash risk. Towards zero deaths is our goal and creating safer roads is our passion.

Indiana DOT’s evidence-based approach to human and machine vision lane marking standards

Our Oct. 14 global session featuring Joe Bruno of Indiana DOT and Michael Williamson of Kaskaskia Engineering covered the Indiana DOT’s evidence-based approach to human and machine vision lane marking standards, plus a whole lot more.

This session also explored several Indiana low-cost pavement marking solutions and how their implementation has significantly reduced roadway accidents and injuries.
